March 3: NO SCHOOL & Good News!

Yesterday, school was cancelled due to all the ice on the road and stuff. I spent the majority of the day finishing this study guide for the Business Writing Midterm that was going to be today.

At around 5:30PM, I get an e-mail from the school that the campus would be closed until 10AM. WOOOHOOOO! My Business Writing exam was going to be at 9AM, which means, IT’S POSTPONED TO NEXT WEEK!!!!! I now have an extra week to study for this exam, and I couldn’t be happier.

After we went to get Sesame Chicken from China Wonder (so goooood), we played the game Heads Up! for quite a while. It’s very addicting and super fun. There are different categories like Superstars, Blockbuster movies, Music, and stuff. The ones we had the most fun on was probably the one called Act it Out where we have to do the action and the person has to guess. That one had us running around the apartment. The Accents and Impressions was also fun, except I can’t do accents, so…..

Anyway, it was fun, I’m glad I have extra time for this exam, and about to head off to campus to have Monday/Tuesday lunch. Since this semester started, I haven’t had the opportunity to eat Monday lunches at the Outreach Center at all, since it’s at 12:30 and I have class at that time. There were about 3 times where they finished early and I got to eat first. But today, since school was cancelled yesterday, I get to have it today!! Yayyyyyy!! Ok. I’ll post more tonight, I think.

Snow! Ice! Something…!! No school!!!

So, it snowed/sleet/iced last night and throughout the day today!

It has been pretty warm this past week, but got considerably colder today. I wouldn’t know if it was cold yesterday because I didn’t leave the apartment… But anyway….

It was very gloomy today, it snowed/sleet/iced all day. Savannah and I went outside to go throw the trash away in the dumpster, but somehow that turned into us scraping ice off of our cars. That took a while, and it was COLD. I had my fluffy white jacket that makes me look like a marshmallow on, gloves, and a hat on, with the jacket’s hood up, and it was still a little cold. That took a while, because the ice was thick, although it was considerably easier to scrape the ice off of my car than Savannah’s, for some reason. I forgot to mention, the sidewalk was extremely slippery, it was like skating to the car.

After we scraped the ice, we went to throw the trash away, then came back into the apartment again. After a while, we ventured outside again to go to the office to pay rent (walking this time), and it was sort of brutal. It was windy, which made it a lot worse, but at least the snow-like substance didn’t make it slippery like this morning. Unfortunately, we didn’t pay because they talked about his new law or something where you have to pay a fee if you pay a huge amount of money using a credit card. Oh well.

After a few hours, I got the great news that SCHOOL IS CANCELLED TOMORROW!!!! Hoorayyyyy. No matter how old I get, I’ll always be happy when school is cancelled. And then we did the jelly bean ‘challenge’. ..fun… and now, I’m going to study for the midterm on Tuesday, then going to bed soon later.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I finished season 3 of Game of Thrones, and am ready for the new season already. Although, I’ll have to find someone with a TV AND HBO so that I could watch it when it comes out.. Hmmm….
