It’s Been Cold..

So… It’s been pretty cold these past few days

Cold as in, in the negatives (Celsius) cold. On Monday, the weather was normal… light jacket was enough. At 8PM, still the same. At 10PM, I get a text from one of my roommates saying “IT’S COLD”. Yes, it was in capslock. I decided to step out to see how cold it was. Also, I could hear the wind from inside my room, and it sounded bad.

So… I didn’t actually step outside.. more like stepped kind of in the doorway and opened the door a bit.

IT WAS COLD. AND WINDY. AND DID I MENTION COLD.

That proceeded to be the weather for the rest of the week. I think Tuesday was the worst… it was in the negatives all day (I USE CELSIUS), a bit windy… I think. But it got a teeeeeny bit warmer as each day passed by. Teeny bit as in about 1 degree warmer.

Not that I’m complaining, because I would rather the cold than hot any day.

Swimming

I got in the pool for the first time in a very long time yesterday.

We went t Journey yesterday, and it was good, as always. We then dropped off one of Savannah’s friends who was staying with us at Lloyd Noble for her graduation ceremony. We had lunch, I napped, YouTube videos, picked up her friend, packed, and then came to Savannah’s house.

She convinced me to get in the pool, and I was glad I did. Although I am still tired today and my legs feel like jelly at times, it was great. I had fun although water going up my nose isn’t so fun.

She convinced me to jump from the diving board for the first time, and I learned how to do a front flip in the water… Sort of. I’m not really good at it and keep getting water in my nose.

We alternated between the hot tub and the freezing pool. The pool was pretty cold, but after a while of jumping in and out of the water and moving around, it wasn’t so bad.

After everyone else left and we were still in the hot tub, we were extremely tired and started singing/yelling out old songs, such as Backstreet Boys’ I Want It That Way and Britney Spears’ Oops… I Did It Again. Yes, we did have to look up the karaoke version on YouTube. No, I don’t know all the lyrics. Yes, I do know some.

It was fun, and I slept pretty well.

I am now sitting outside while Savannah is sitting in on her Russian class online, which is pretty cool, and I’m about to watch more Supernatural.

Weather & Exam

Well, it was significantly colder than the past few weeks. While walking to class there was actually a teeny tiny bit of snow/fleet/flurries coming down from the sky. Not that I’m complaining about the cold.. It’s just kind of weird to my Asian brain that it could be this cold in April.

I walked into my Statistics exam today feeling like it was just another day in class. I didn’t feel nervous or like I was about to take an exam… I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing. I think I did well though.

These next few weeks are going to be hectic.. I think. I need to do research and write a 5 page analytical report. I know, compared to the real world, that’s probably nothing. But I’m not that great at writing and I’m not that great at research either. So this is going to be iffy. I have to do well though, since it’s a big chunk of my grade. *sigh*

Finals are coming up sooner than I think, and the end of the semester is looming ahead. This semester/past-4-months has passed by in the blink of an eye.

Welcome to Oklahoma…

Welcome to Oklahoma, where it’s sunny with blue skies, but when you actually step out, it’s like walking in a freezer with the cold blast on.

It was extremely cold this morning. I saw this picture on Facebook, and thought I’d share it since it has been so cold in Oklahoma lately. Little did I know, that the picture is sooooo accurate. 1559784_10152004923951840_1406765287_nThe cold wouldn’t have been as bad as it was, if the wind wasn’t just slapping us in the face. I had to walk from Sarkey’s to Catlett, which is about a 6 minute walk, but by the time I got to Catlett, I couldn’t feel my toes… And I had TWO PAIRS of socks on. I couldn’t feel my ears either, but that’s kind of expected now when it’s cold and windy.

Also, I love stepping into a warm building after a cold walk and all, but if my glasses could defog itself a little faster, that’d be great.

We (Savannah and I) went to Awakening at Journey Church today, and it was great. It was all singing, but I thought the song selections were great. Although we did get tired towards the end and had to sit for a little bit since we’ve been standing the whole time. Then we went to Sooners for Christ and listened to a friend lead worship.

Now we’re back, and I’m about to stay up most of the night to finish this Managerial Accounting homework, edit a draft, and study for a Statistics quiz tomorrow. Fun.
